Leading by two points after the first period, Landrum then got their offense going outscoring Whitmire 24-14 during the second period.
Whitmire’s defense limited Landrum to 16 points during the third period, however, it wasn’t enough to catch up before the final buzzer.
Alan Glenn led the Wolverines in scoring with 21 points. Traccey Ruff had 10 points; Joseph Brown scored eight points; P.J. Davis and Julian Hunter each scored six points.
Next, Whitmire will host Southside Christian 6:30 p.m. today.
