Two-day trial ends with acquittal for Union man

The two-day trial of a Union man ended in his acquittal on all charges.

The jury in the trial of Albert Clayton Morris Jr., 635 Browns Creek Church, found him not guilty of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of crack cocaine. Morris’ trial began Thursday and the case went to the jury around lunchtime Friday. They returned with the verdict less than an hour later.

The following persons pleaded guilty before Judge Lee S. Alford of York in General Sessions Court on Thursday:

Harold Keisler, 336 Johns St., Union, to pointing or presenting a firearm, one year suspended upon 18 months probation and $500 to the Public Defenders Fund.

William McAbee, 336 Johns St., Union, to pointing or presenting a firearm, one year suspended upon 18 months probation and $500 to the Public Defenders Fund.
