A U.S. Air Force veteran seeking the Republican nomination for the Fourth Congressional District will be campaigning in Union County Friday and Saturday.
Jim Lee, a Mauldin resident who has lived in South Carolina since 1996, will be at the Career Source Center on Main Street in Union from 5 -7 p.m. Friday and at the Jonesville National Guard Armory from noon-2 p.m. Saturday. The events are designed to allow the candidate to introduce himself to the public and answer questions about his positions on the issues.
Lee is an Air Force veteran and has been an active member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves for more than 25 years. He is a business and technology consultant and certified Project Management Professional. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and served as program manager for South Carolina’s statewide electronic voting system implementation from 2004-06. He and his wife Laurie have been married 29 years and have five children.
The Fourth Congressional District seat is currently held by Republican Bob Inglis. The district encompasses Greenville, Spartanburg and Union counties and part of Laurens County.

Really? Keep Union a Democrat County? eyesofUnion, you blame the Republicans for not giving something to Union when they have never been in power. You are correct, Union should not continue to be dominated by a political party, but that party has been Democrats forever. Look at all the corruption that has been going on in Union, have you noticed it all? It has been Democrats on the take and preventing development in Union.

Are you better or worse today than you were 8 years ago.Did Republicans bring more jobs to South Carolina? Are you sure you want to continue to be dominated by a political party? I can assure you that Union will be the farthest thing from these Republicans,They think they do not have to answer for anything they do and also have support from higher officials.Union is a small town,We offer nothing to the elite that have suddenly appeared after the "appointment of those who were suspended or charged. If freedom is your desire for our children, who Republicans have cut education spending, failure to bring in jobs,I urge you to keep Union a Democratic county.Let US preserve our rights and the rights of future generations here. Vote Democrat!
