Sims squad defeated by Dawkins; Jonesville beats Pacolet

The Sims boys basketball team were defeated 54-16 by Dawkins Thursday night.

"I cannot fault our kids effort,” coach Mitchell Moss said. “They played hard, but we have a way to go before we get to where we want to be.”

Andrew Crocker led Sims in scoring with 6 points; Shakir Smith had 4 points; Kennedy Beatty, Shemar Glenn and Triston Armstrong each scored 2 points.

“We are still learning and improving everyday and it will show," Moss said.

Sims girls lose to Dawkins

The Sims girls basketball team lost to Dawkins 55 to 7.

Cierra Mitchell led Sims with 3 points; Jericka Hall scored 2 points; Shanitra Stewart had 2 points.

Despite the loss Diamond Lee and Natalie Williford had a great defensive effort for Sims. 

Jonesville beats Pacolet

The Jonesville boys basketball team beat Pacolet 34 to 27 Thursday night.

In other action, the Jonesville girls squad defeated Pacolet 23-14.
