In a statement released by Tuesday afternoon by the governor’s offices states that Sanford will be in Union tomorrow to name the new clerk of court. The announcement is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Sanford will also speak with local residents about issues affedcting them.
The office of clerk of court has been open since the resignation of Brad Morris. Morris resigned in the midst of SLED investigation into his handling of the child support account.
Union County Probate Judge Donna Cudd has been serving as acting clerk of court.
