Union County’s medical community has some new faces.

Four new doctors — including two who are Union County natives — have joined existing practices

Dr. Ranjan Bista, a pediatrician, has been working with Dr. Kelli Johnston and Hayden Brickle, physician assistant, at Upstate Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine since July.

With specialties in internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Felix Kuuseg joined the practice of Dr. Bob Yannetti at Carolinas Heath Associates Center for Internal Medicine and Diabetic Care in July.

Union native Dr. Erica Savage Jeter joined the practice of Dr. John Flood and Dr. Alisahah Cole this month at Carolinas Health Associates Center for Family Healthcare. Her speciality is family medicine.

General surgeon Dr. Harold P. Hope Jr. is working with Dr. Frederick Barker at Union Surgical Services.

Union Hospital District CEO Bill Leonard said the hospital is fortunate to welcome such talented new physicians.

“These new physicians and their families are now part of the Union community,” he said. “Dr. Hope and Dr. Savage-Jeter are native to Union and join Dr. David Keith as Union natives practicing medicine in their hometown.”

Hope, who has been a surgeon in the Charlotte area for many years, has remarkable experience and knowledge in general surgery, Leonard said. He will practice in Union 10 days out of the month.

Bista and Kuuseg are both bright young doctors who have been well received by the hospital and clinic staff, Leonard said.

“And we are hearing patients give great feedback about them,” he said.
