Many thanks to all the generous people in Union County who stopped to buy a hot dog at the Vietnam Veterans of America fund-raiser this past Saturday.
With the economy still way down in our area, we particularly appreciate this generosity. We also greatly appreciate the corporate help that made this fund-raiser possible: The Fresh Air Galaxy provided the location for our sale, and their friendly employees went out of their way to be helpful, while Midway BBQ provided the chili for our “dogs.” The great publicity we got from The Union Daily Times and WBCU Radio also helped make our sale a success.
We also want to express our gratitude to all the veteran and non-veteran volunteers who worked hard on our hot dog sale, especially Debra Scott, who chaired and ran the entire event, down to custom-building a lot of the hot dogs!
