Clemson Extension reported the biggest loss, with computers and cameras together worth over $2,000 stolen. An employee told Officer Randy Canupp he came to open the office and found the front door had been broken out. Another door that led into the office was broken. A cement block was lying in the floor.

At Citi-Financial, an employee told PFC Robbie Vanderford he didn’t think anything was missing, but $700 in damage was done.

The break-in at In & Out Oil Change was discovered by PFC David Lee. He and Sgt. Larry Robinson went in and found someone had damaged the cash register. Nothing was thought to be missing at the time of the report. The amount of damage also was not listed on the report.

The break-in at the Pool Place was found by PSO Mike Gregory. An employee told Gregory she thought all that was missing was $20 in change from the register. Around $600 damage was done.

Around $600 damage was done at Carolina Floor Covering. This break-in was also found by Gregory. The front door was broken and the cash register had been taken into another part of the store and broken into.

Drug arrest

Sterling Lamar Henderson, 37, of 148 Doe Jeter Road, Union, was charged Saturday by the Union County Sheriff’s Office with possession with intent to distribute crack other than first offense, possession of a Schedule 3 narcotic, failure to stop for police and possession of marijuana.

A report said a narcotics officer and a uniformed officer were parked in Buffalo when they saw a man on a motorcycle headed north on S.C. 215 at a high rate of speed. They attempted to stop the motorcycle by activating the blue light and siren on their patrol car, but the driver, later identified as Henderson, accelerated and turned onto Bailey Road. The officer was able to pass Henderson and forced him to stop. Henderson jumped off and ran. He was apprehended a short distance away in a wooded area.

While searching Henderson, deputies found a Lortab pill, marijuana, more than a gram of crack and $449 in cash.

Thefts

Monday, a victim told Cpl. Tim Gaston that someone broke out the rear window of her 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer and took her Cobra radar detector worth $100. Around $400 damage was done. The theft occurred while the vehicle was left on the side of Buffalo-West Springs Highway because of a flat tire.

On 470 Parks Farm Road, Jonesville, a victim told Cpl. Jared Gilstrap Monday that someone took his hunting bow from his driveway. The bow was inside a black case with a “Team Real Tree” sticker on it. Three broad head arrows and a release were also inside the case. These are all worth $1,100.
