If 3rd District Rep. Joe Wilson intended to damage President Barack Obma’s health care reform plan by shouting at the president Wednesday night, his plan backfired.

The South Carolina Republican shouted “You lie!” after Obama told a joint session of Congress that extending health care to all Americans who seek it would not mean insuring illegal immigrants.

Although Wilson swiftly apologized — and Obama has since accepted — his actions were condemned by both Democrats and Republicans.

His outburst was reminiscent of the orchestrated displays during recent congressional town hall meetings by opponents of Obama’s health care plan.

It may also wind up costing him, politically.

Wilson’s opponent, Rob Miller, has received donations totalling $700,000 since his remark, according to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

It’s one thing to disagree with the president’s politics and policies. It’s another, however to shout at him from your seat in the House chamber. Wilson’s outburst was wrong — he admits it now — hopefully he hasn’t set a bad precedent for other members of Congress.

Wilson only added to the embarrasment that Sanford had already brought to our state.It is a shame we elect people who do not respect the people nor the state it is suppose to defend.SC has lost all the jobs of an adverage worker here and to let them know it We must vote against anyone in that party.We must tell tyhe world we will not be demeaned by elected officials from the state to Washington.If we fail to let them know in our vote they only will continue tocause harm to our state and our country.

=================================================

The bad precedent has already been set. Have you not understood that the republicans who used the so called reconciliation to ram through not one, not two, but three biggest tax cuts in history for the richest of Americans.

Then we went on a BORROWING AND SPENDING SPREE TO KEEP THE TAX CUTS GOING EVEN WHEN MISINFORMATION WAS USED TO INVADE A COUNTRY HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD THAT WAS NO DIRECT THREAT TO THE USA. What about the Medicare drug bill that was rammed through which the administration said would cost 400 billion in 10 years and even before it was passed the number was raised to 750 to 800 billion and the administration would not let the number get out until after the bill was passed? Yet we call for bipartisanship.

Since 2006 McConnell and the rest of the republican leadership has done nothing but try to demonize the democrats. They are paid by the taxpayer and get the best benefits that our tax dollars can buy to work together for the benefit of the people. Instead they have let the lobbyist that own them tell the what to do when to do it and write the bills they introduce for their benefit.

When the American people wake up and insist that LAWYERS IN BLACK ROBES, WHO CALL THEMSELVES JUDGES, RULE THAT MONEY IS NOT SPEECH.

My money does not even say goodbye when in leaves me in such a hurry so it can get to China where all the so called AMERICAN BUSINESS MEN send our jobs so they can make salaries of 15, 25, 50, and 100 MILLION OR MORE AND TWICE THAT IN BONUSES AND WHO KNOWS WHAT IN STOCK OPTIONS.

This country is suppose to OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE, but has become a country of the rich, by the rich and for the rich and our so called leaders are in it up their necks------remember the Abramoff scandal which caused 12 to 15 republicans from congress and the last administration to be indicted for BRIBERY and who knows how many got by without being caught on both sides of the aisle.

Wilson just took the precedent one step further.
