Charles Harvey Long, 57, husband of Betty Jean Garner Long of 837 Lovers Lane Road, Union, died Monday, August 17, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Long was born in Virginia, March 16, 1952, a son of the late George Long and Nell Rose Patrick Long.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Heather Long of Columbia; a niece, Dena Meador of Buffalo; four sisters and one brother.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Ricky Cook.

Visitation will be held from 12-1:30 p.m. Thursday at Holcombe Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.

The family is at the home, 837 Lovers Lane Road, Union, S.C. 29379.
