INMAN — Nellie Atkinson Brown, 90, of 325 Johnson Ave., passed away, Monday, June 22nd, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Brown was born in Jonesville, on March 13, 1919, the daughter of the late Samuel M. and Bertha C. (Harmon) Atkinson. She was the wife of Harold W. Brown and was a homemaker. .

She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class.

She is survived by a daughter, Jan B. Campbell and her husband Tim; three grandchildren, Kelly Foster and her husband Ryan, Kim Campbell and Jeff Moore; and one great-granddaughter, Grace Foster all of Columbia. There are a number of special people she loved, several nieces and nephews and also Cecil Moore of North. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gail B. Moore; two sisters, Evelyn Folsom and Mary Holt; and two brothers, Charlie and Jim Atkinson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. with Dr. Paul Moore officiating.The Winsome Sunday School Class are to serve as honorary escort.

Interment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens in Pacolet. The family is at the home.
