Judith "Judy" Thompson Brackins, 69, of 4532 Roundup Drive, Polk City, Fla., formerly of Union, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at her home. Mrs. Brackins was the widow of Benjiman Dale Brackins.

Mrs. Brackins was born in Union, April 29, 1940, a daughter of the late Edgar Earl Thompson and Pearl Sumner Thompson. She was also predeceased by her son, Jerry Dale Brackins and three brothers, Ted, Jerry and Carroll Thompson. She was homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are a daughter, Renea Fulcher and husband Wayne of Polk City, Fla.; a sister, Yvonne Thompson of Union; a grandson, Robert Fulcher and wife Mindy; a great-grandson, Landon Fulcher all of Norfolk, Va., and a sister-in-law, Elaine Thompson of Union.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at the SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Randy Smith. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
