Ms. Fernandez was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Union to the late Mary Gordon Fernandez and Joe Fernandez.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 10 a.m. conducted by her nephew, Jerry Fernandez, at Alexander Funeral Home, 1424 Statesville, Ave., Charlotte, N.C.
