Chapman downs Lady Jackets

INMAN — Chapman defeated Union County’s varsity girls’ soccer team 3-0 on Thursday.

Chapman had 16 shots on goal. Meredith Walker had 15 saves for the Jackets.

Rebecca Drum, Danielle Harris, Ashley Williams, Shanna Williford and Walker led the UCHS defense and the midfield played with hustled.

The Jacket offense was out-of-sync, missing Claire Dobson — who was attending her brother’s graduation from college.

“It was a physical game,” said coach Terry Drum. “The girls played hard and gave good effort.”

UCHS hosts Chester on Monday, Senior Night.

Chapman defeated Union County’s junior varsity girls’ soccer team 3-0 on Thursday.

Chapman had 18 shots on goal and UCHS had five. Kayce Edwards had 10 saves.
