Charged in theft
Tracy Eugene Gann, 43, whose booking sheet from the Union County Jail listed “Union” but no street address, has been charged with grand larceny. He is being held in the Union County Jail on $10,000 surety bond.
A warrant signed by Investigator Brian Bailey said Gann stole four ladies rings worth around $1,900 from 1107 Arthur Boulevard between March 29 and March 30.
The victim told Sgt. David Brewington that she had her jewelry out cleaning it while Gann was at her home. Later, the rings were missing from the top of a night stand.
The victim said she spoke with an employee of Union Gun and Pawn who told her that Gann came in and tried to pawn some rings fitting the description of her rings.
