Charles Arthur O’Shields, 63, of 528 Lover’s Lane Road, Union, widower of Kathy Adams O’Shields went home to be with the Lord, Monday, April 6, 2009, at his home.

Mr. O’Shields was born in Union, April 16, 1945, a son of Nell White O’Shields of Union and the late Lewis O’Shields. He was a graduate of Union High School, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and later retired from Tucker Tire & Auto. Mr. O’Shields enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his mother are three sons, Justin O’Shields of the home, Chuck O’Shields of Spartanburg and Brad O’Shields of the home; a grandson, Zakary Andrew O’Shields of Spartanburg; a sister-in-law and caregiver, Candas Melissa Adams of the home; nephews and niece, Jeremy Shane Adams, Brandon Allen Hagan, Jonathan Adams, Jacob Dylan Adams and Brianna Kathleen Adams; and a brother, Pat O’Shields of Union.

The family is at the home, 528 Lovers Lane Road, Union, where they will receive friends from 5-8 Friday evening. A private burial will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank employees of Hospice Care of S.C., Union Unit for all the love and support shown to them daily.
