To the editor:
Rep. Anthony, I along with members of the Union County Carnegie Library Board would like to express our sincere thanks for all your efforts in support of the House budget for our library and the state’s libraries as a whole. We also would like to thank you for all your assistance with our meetings with other members of the General Assembly. Our meeting in Columbia on the 27th of February was extremely worthwhile. We were very happy to hear this week that the House Ways and Means Committee passed the current library budget by a vote of 107-0.
Your support of the library system in South Carolina exemplifies your inherent love for and dedication to education in South Carolina. As South Carolinians with children or grandchildren in the public schools of this state, we are cognizant of your efforts to better our library system and our school system, and we appreciate everything that you do for your county and for South Carolina.
