CARLISLE — Betty Jean Thompson, 65, 107 Fletcher S., died Jan. 17, 2013.
A native of Union, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Thompson Sr. and Lauree Jeter Thompson.
She was a member of St. Luke AME Zion Church and was a 1964 graduate of Sims High School.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Thompson (Calvin) Young of Union; two brothers, Norris (Eunice) Thompson of Cartersville, GA and Bruce Thompson of Carlisle, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Thompson of CA; and three grandsons, Jamal Young, Desmond Young, and Derek Young, all of Union, S.C.
Memorial services celebrating the life of Betty Jean Thompson will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke AME Zion Church.
The family will receive friends at 511 Pinckney St., Carlisle, S.C.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the St. Luke AME Zion Church, , 539 St Luke Road, Carlisle, S.C. 29031.
