Yellow Jackets, Lady Yellow Jackets fall to Chester High

The Lady Yellow Jackets of Union County High School lost a close match to the Lady Cyclones of Chester High School at home Friday night by a final score of 44-41. The Lady Yellow Jackets took the first quarter 17-10 then fell behind in the second 7-12 before being outscored 10-5 in the third. The two teams knotted at 12-12 in the fourth. High scorers for Union were CeeCee Moorman with 15, Mauri Eison with 14, Kristin Giles with 10 and D’audra Thompson with 2.

In the boys game, the Cyclones notched a 54-44 win. Tre Eison had 14 points and hit three 3-pointers. Recus Hughes scored 10. Terrance Morris had 14 to lead Chester. The Jackets were leading at the half but couldn’t hold on down the line before Chester put the game away.
