The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrest:
— Corey Lynn Malpass, 22, of 206 N. Church St., Buffalo, was charged with breach of trust. According to the arrest warrant, Malpass — between Dec. 17, 2012 and Jan. 3 — stole various items from Wal-Mart, including cologne, perfume, an iPhone case and iPhone kick stand. Items are valued at $4,731.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Santuc Drive in Carlisle reported seeing a suspicious vehicle at his neighbor’s home during a time he knew no one was supposed to be there. He contacted the homeowner, and she confirmed that no one should have been there. The caller believed the subject was stealing metal, and officers observed that the gate to the driveway had been broken down. Photographs were taken and the case was turned over to investigation.
— A resident of Lowry Street in Union reported Jan. 2 that items had been stolen from and rearranged within his yard. According to the incident report, an old tire and wheel as well as a cat made from scrap metal were stolen from the yard. A yard swing and frame that had been in the back yard were moved to the front yard near the road. A box of various metal and plastic items were next to the swing. A report was filed and an officer advised that extra patrol would be conducted.
— A resident of Old English Road in Union reported a burglary/breaking and entering Jan. 2. According to the incident report, the victim came home from work to find his front door open. The only items he noticed missing were a Playstation 3, wireless controllers and three games at a total value of $500.
— A resident of Eisontown Road in Jonesville reported on Jan. 3 that she had been receiving harassing emails from a subject since August. The victim provided a name and address, but upon attempting to locate the subject, there was no one with that name located at the address given.
