UNION — County Supervisor Tommy Sinclair rang in the new year Monday evening by hosting a party at his home for friends and co-workers.
The menu included chicken stew, hash and Sinclair’s famous barbecue, as well as a variety of sweets and party snacks.
The majority of guests gathered around to watch the Chick-fil-A Bowl, which pitted Clemson — Sinclair’s favorite team — against LSU. Sinclair was, of course, was elated about Clemson’s 25-24 win over LSU, and even the Gamecock fans in attendance such as Freddie Gault, Sammy Diamaduros and Todd Justice cheered as DeAndre Hopkins set a school record with 1,404 receiving yards in a single season and Chandler Catanzaro nailed a 37-yard last-second field goal for the Clemson win.
Sinclair said he enjoyed spending New Year’s Eve with friends and he looks forward to a bright and prosperous 2013 for Union County.
