Paramedics and other rescue personnel treat Derrick Scott Silvers, 47, of 200 Pineneedle Road, Union, after he was involved in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon on the Duncan By-Pass. A Union Public Safety Department report said another motorcycle rider was turning into the West Towne Plaza parking lot and Silvers, who was riding a 2001 Harley Davidson, failed to stop. Silvers’ motorcycle struck the other motorcycle and Silvers was thrown off. Silvers was flown by helicopter to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition.
