The Union County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents:

— A resident of Rook Road reported Dec. 17 that people walked into her house uninvited and she told them to leave and then she noticed her cellphone was missing. She said she called her cellphone number and it appeared to have been turned off. The phone is a pink One-Touch Ultra touchscreen phone from Alcatell. It is valued at $300.

— A resident of West Springs Highway reported Dec. 17 that when she returned to her residence that morning she saw that the back door to the building had been forced open. The woman said she locked the doors before she left and that nothing appeared to have been taken from her home. Damage to the door was estimated at $50.

The Union County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests:

Joey Lee Rice, 42, 214 S. Church St., Union, was charged with driving under suspension. According to the incident report, an officer saw a red Dodge truck traveling left of center on Hart Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop was told by Rice, the only occupant of the vehicle, that his licensed had been suspended for failure to pay traffic tickets. After he ran the driver’s license number through dispatch and it was confirmed that Rice’s driver’s license had been suspended, the officer placed Rice under arrest and took him to jail.
