A collision between a motorcycle and a car sent two people to the hospital Thursday afternoon. Union Public Safety Director Sam White said the wreck occurred around 4:40 p.m. when a 1992 Harley Davidson traveling through the West Towne Plaza parking lot crossed into the path of a 1992 Nissan. White said the motorcycle was passing through the area behind the former McDonald’s building and was not in a driving lane. He said the Nissan entered the parking lot through the driving lane on the right side of the McDonald’s building. Both the driver of the motorcycle, Edward Fallen, 66, 500 Railroad Ave., Whitmire, and his passenger, Estelle Tettie, 59, 296 Meansville Road, Union, were taken by ambulance to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. White said he had no information on their condition this morning. The driverof the Nissan, Mallory Duncan, 16, 106 Country Road, Union, was not injured. No charges will be filed but White said Fallen will be listed as having contributed to the collision. Damage was estimated at $3,000 to the Nissan and $2,000 to the Harley-Davidson.
