WHITMIRE — Mr. Frederick “Earl” Lusk, 76, husband of Janie Alexander Lusk, 236 Lee Cemetery Rd., Whitmire, S.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at his home.

Born in Woodruff, S.C., Jan. 7, 1936, a son of the late James and Elizabeth Haupt Lusk. Mr. Lusk was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Taught the Glenda Jenkins Adult Sunday School Class and was the chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Paige L. Cromer (Jim) of Newberry, Paula L. Couch Summer (David) of Whitmire; three brothers, James A. Lusk (Ruth) of Charleston, Frank Lusk (Deloris) of West Columbia, Jimmy Kramer of FL; two sisters, Faye Robinson of FL, Betty Jean Adams of FL; four granddaughters, Alexandrea Cromer, Bethany Cromer, Lauren Couch, Savannah Summer; a sister-in-law, Joyce Dallas; a brother-in-law, Johnny Alexander (Floree), all of Whitmire; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Hill.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 8, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church in Whitmire with Revs. Guy Langston and Austin Bennett officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church in Whitmire.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to The Bethesda Building Fund, 1309 Railroad Ave., Whitmire, S.C. 29178 or Whitmire Rescue Squad, 302 Main St., Whitmire, S.C. 29178.

The family is at the home 236 Lee Cemetery Rd., Whitmire, S.C. 29178
