LOCKHART — Lockhart Middle School suffered its first loss of the season on the basketball court Monday night when Chesnee Middle took a 53-33 win. Ryan Vaughan lit up the floor with 18 points. Zack Gordon accounted for five points while Hunter Plemons and Ethan Bailey had four apiece. Dalton Vinson and Michael Purdie each chipped in a free throw.

In girls action, the Lady Red Devils were defeated by the Eagles, 42-15.

Elizabeth Parks led the Devils’ scoring with 10 points. Heather Petty contributed 7 points and Chasity McCluney added 2.
