Students interested in campaigning for Student Council offices gave speeches, designed posters and hung them throughout the school. As they campaigned for various Student Council offices, many of the students talked about being a good citizen, helping others, and doing the right thing. Students in grades 3-5 then voted and the ballots were counted. Pictured left to right: Classroom representatives: Madeline Gilstrap, Abby Goodfellow, Zarria Smith, and Alexis Cribbs. Arianna Whitmire was elected as the Secretary. (A run-off for President resulted in a tie) Anna Rose Sawyer and Chaniah Brown will serve as Co-Presidents. Talia Glenn will serve as the Vice-President. Other class representatives: Carley Sumner, Kaitlyn Alexander, JT Wright, Matthew Martin, Leah Cody, Carmen Sliwa, and Tamirez Salter.

THE UNION COUNTY DISABILITIES AND SPECIAL NEEDS BOARD will have their monthly meeting at noon. The meeting will be held at 226 S. Gadberry St. Lunch will be provided.

THE WOODMEN OF THE WORLD CHRISTMAS PARTY will be held at 6 p.m. at Woodmen Park. Food will be furnished by the camp. Santa will be there. Bring a gift for your child to go under the tree and a canned good.
