UNION — Mrs. Ruth Freeman Foster, 88, West End Manor Apts., Union, passed away, Tuesday Nov. 13, 2012 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.

Mrs. Foster was born in Paw Creek, N.C., Jan. 14, 1924 a daughter of the late Alex and Sue Lea Freeman. She was a homemaker and a member of Unity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Foster was first married to the late Ernest Bailey.

Surviving are four brothers, Ray Freeman and wife Ruby of Buffalo, Harold Freeman and wife Muriel and Pryor Freeman, all of Jonesville and Alex Freeman and wife Joyce of Union; three grandchildren, Matthew Bailey of Johnson City, TN, David Bailey of Union and April Bailey of Greensboro, N.C.

Mrs. Foster was predeceased by a son, Ernest Bailey, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Josh Freeman. Entombment will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Brad Freeman, Steve Freeman, Travis Wix, Joel Taylor, Jarred Taylor and Jacob Robinson.

The following are asked to assemble at the chapel to form the honorary escort: Roger Wade, Tommy Knox, Harold Thompson, Randall Murphy, and Harold Lawson.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Harmony Care Hospice, 708 Duncan ByPass, Suite J., Union, S.C. 29379 or to Crestview Baptist Church, 1100 Furman Fendley Highway, Union, S.C. 29379.

The family will be at the home of Ray and Ruby Freeman, 3038 Buffalo-West Springs Highway, Buffalo.
