UNION — James Edward Land, 56, 312 Old Buffalo Road, died Oct. 19, 2012, in the Hospice House of Laurens County.

A native of Union County, he was the son of the late Jimmie Land, Sr. and Helen Hampton Land. He was a former employee of Monarch Mill and the Kohler Company.

Survivors include two sons, Darnell Beacham and James E. Beacham, both of Union; one daughter, Shanell Beacham of Union; four grandchildren; Bertha Mae Jennings of Union; three sisters, Minnie Lee Kershaw, Drucilla Glenn, and Beatrice Bates, all of Union; one brother, Mr. Jimmie Land Jr. of Union.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Michael A. Glenn Funeral Home with burial in the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home and at the home of his daughter, 720 Lakeside Drive, Apt K-5.
