SPARTANBURG — Mrs. Patra Lee Smith Thomas, 92, widow of Jimmy W. Thomas, 295 E. Pearl St., White Oak Manor, Spartanburg, S.C., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A Native of Union, S.C., Mrs. Thomas was born March 4, 1920, a daughter of the late Shelton and Florence McKassick Smith. Mrs. Thomas had retired from Ellen Sagar Nursing Home and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Jonesville.

Survivors include one son, John Thomas of Spartanburg, S.C.; one sister, Patsy Lee Fernandez of Union, S.C.; and a nephew, Vernon Fernandez.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at 1 p.m. at The Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Earl Alexander and James Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.

The family is at the home of her sister Patsy Lee Fernandez, 296 Meansville Road, Brittany Manor, Apt. H3, Union, S.C. 29379.
