Act Of Kindness?

A travel agent looked up from his desk and saw Sis and an older gentleman looking in the window at the posters showing the destinations around the world. The agent had had a good week and the older folks looking in the window gave him a rare feeling of generosity. He called them into his business and said, “I know that on your pension you could never hope to have a really nice vacation, so I am sending you off to a fabulous resort at my expense, and I won’t take no for an answer.”

He took them inside and asked his secretary to write two flight tickets and book a room in a five star hotel. They, as can be expected, gladly accepted, and were on their way.

A few weeks later the Sis went back in to his shop.

“And how did you like your plane trip?” he asked eagerly.

“The flight was exciting and the room was lovely,” she answered. “I’ve come to thank you. But, one thing puzzled me. “Who was that old guy I had to share the room with?”

What Do You Put On Your Strawberries?

Farmer Mike Scales was driving his John Deere tractor along the road with a trailer load of turkey fertilizer.

Tim, a little boy of eight, was playing in his yard when he saw the farmer and asked, ‘What’ve you got in your trailer?’

“Manure,” Farmer Mike replied.

“What are you going to do with it?” asked Tim.

“Me and the wife gonna put it on my strawberries,” answered Mike.

Tim replied, “You ought to come and eat with us, my mama puts ice cream on our strawberries.”
