MABELTON, GA — Cynthia Dawn “Cindy” Johnson, 45, 1140 Newpark View Place, entered eternal rest surrounded by family on Oct. 9, 2012 at Emory University Hospital.

A native of Union, she was the daughter of Betty Henderson Johnson of Carlisle and the late Harold Johnson. She was a 1985 graduate of Union High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University. She was employed as an accountant with Georgia Pacific Headquarters in Atlanta.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her brother, Chadric H. Johnson of Carlisle; a special nephew, Channon Keaton Johnson of Union; her grandmother, Margaret Jeter Henderson of Union; a special cousin who was like a sister, Lisa Henderson of Mabelton, GA; two uncles, Robert Henderson of Santuc and Theodore Johnson of Detroit, MI; eight aunts, Phoebe (Rev. James W.) Richard of Santuc, Shirley (Walter) Spears of Union, Barbara (Freddie) Tucker of Carlisle, Dorothy Means of Union, Nancy Johnson of Ypsilanti, MI, Leona Ashe of Columbus, OH, Bessie Boler (Leroy)Rice of Washington, DC and Mary Sims of Detroit, MI.

Public viewing will be held Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Santuc location.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Jeter Chapel AME Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her mother, 851 Cambridge St., Carlisle, S.C.
