Sis was called to testify in a case where a man over in West Springs had been shot while stealing chickens. When her time came to take the stand, she testified that the victim was lying dead on the ground.
The defense lawyer jumped up and asked, “Mrs. Haney, how did you know he was dead? Have you ever been to medical school?”
She answered, “No I have not.”
He then asked, “Are you a paramedic?”
She answered, “No I am not.”
The lawyer then fired backm “So, Mrs. Haney, how do you know he was dead?”
Sis answered, “Because I went to his funeral.”

Going Into Business
C.W. Garner wants us to open up a store and make the cure for collamodgus. C.W. could mix the formula and I would be the cashier. Sounds like a good idea to me. One of us would have to get a medical license to sell this miracle medicine. It would be a blessing to Pea Ridge and other parts.
Tribute
A tribute to Paul Keisler: “God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.”
