James Edward ‘Jake’ Tucker

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — James Edward “Jake” Tucker, 73, 21 Belvedere Road, died Sept. 30, 2012 at the John Keever Solace Center. A native of Carlisle, he was the son of the late Julian Oscar Tucker and Edmonia Jeter Tucker.
Survivors include two daughters, Voshella “Pat” (Ronald) Banks and Jamie (John) Williams; five brothers, Freddie (Barbara) Tucker, Bobby (Stella) Tucker, Gerald Tucker, Kent (Louella) Tucker, and Ralph (Sandra) Tucker ; four sisters, Dorothy (Levester) Spann, Ruth Tucker, Patricia Tucker, and Josandra Tucker; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Michael A. Glenn Funeral Home Meansville Road with burial in the St Luke AME Zion Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Ralph (Sandra) Tucker, 1860 Santuc Drive, Carlisle, S.C.
Arrangements are with the Michael A. Glenn Funeral Home, 361 Meansville Road.
