Bus Students of the Week

Students at Foster Park Elementary School are being recognized for exemplary behavior on the bus. Three students from Mrs. Cooper’s bus were chosen as Exemplary Bus Students of the Week and were given Eagle Bucks and a treat. Congratulations to Jackson Newton, Brooke McPhearson and Kierra Jeter for helping to keep our buses safe.

THE UNION COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL’S JAM WITH LUNCH meets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UCAC on Main Street in Union. All musicians playing any type of music are welcome to come in and play. THE COMMUNITY PRAYER MEETING will be held at the USC-U gazebo this Thursday at noon. Everyone is invited to attend and pray for our community, our state, and our nation, as well as for our world. This is a critical time in our history with international turmoil, and with our elections approaching, a time when much prayer is needed. You do not have to pray out loud. Come and be a part of this prayer fellowship. If you cannot attend, try to make time in your day to pray for these things.

THE UNION LIONS CLUB will host a Candy Days Donation Drive. Lions will be giving away candy for donations at the Union County Stadium from 5:30 p.m. until game time, prior to the Union County High School Yellow Jackets football game against Broome. Funds raised during the annual donation drive directly support state and local programs that assist the underprivileged with eyeglasses and hearing aids. These donations also fund a Mobile Health Screening Unit, eye surgeries, and camps for blind youth. For more information, please call 426-8871.

THE FAMILY OF JOSEPH WYLIE JOLLY AND MARY SEPHRONIA CHANDLER JOLLY will hold a family reunion at 1 p.m. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Social Hall. Please bring a well-filled basket.
