Elizabeth Ann "Peewee" Means, 52, of 105 Simmons St., Union, passed away, Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill following a sudden illness.

A native of Union County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Reid Sr. and the late Louise Peake Means. She was a member of the Union Church of Christ, an employee of the Wallace Thomson Hospital dietary department, a 1976 graduate of Union High School, and attended Piedmont Tech OIC.

She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret J. Byrd and a brother, Charlie Reid Jr.

Survivors include one daughter, Nakisha Means of Union; three brothers, Paul Edward Means of New Jersey, E. Jay Means of Jonesville, George Russell Means of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Barbara Jean Jeter (Matthew) of Dayton, Ohio, Louvenia M. Gory of Jonesville and Sandra Faye Jeter of Union, and Annie Dunn of Manhattan, NY; and one grandson, Demarcus J. Humphries of Charlotte, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. the Union Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Wyatt Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Sandra Faye Jeter, 201 Cottage Ave.
