On a sad note we send our sympathy and best wishes to the families of Jesse “Carroll” Roller. Known as Carroll, he is survived by his wife Sandra, sons Johnnie and Micheal, and two granddaughters.

Almost time for the Annual Halloween Carnival.

The Whitmire Booster Club has sponsored this event since the mid-seventies.

Last year event was held at the City Gym where it all began. Huge turn out, hope to have another big turn out this year.

The Carnival is always held on the Saturday before Halloween.

The first ever “Trunk Or Treat” in conjunction with the carnival was held on Main Street last year too.

A short but sweet week, and The Deadline Fairy “Garabund” is knocking and flapping his wings on my laptop.

Until next week, we send our best wishes. Send your news and photos to: news2cassie@yahoo.com
