UNION — James Gilford Foster, Jr., 42, 224 Imperial Drive, died Aug. 30, 2012.

A native of Union, he was the husband of Shelia Denise Gist Foster and the son of Barbara Ann Savage Foster and the late James Gilford Foster, Sr.

He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, an employee of Timken, a 1987 graduate of Union High School, and attended USC and Spartanburg Methodist College.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include one son, Darian Foster; two daughters, India Foster and Sierra Foster; two brothers, Frederick (Ursula) Foster and Eric Foster; and his maternal grandmother, Sarah E. Shaw.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
