The Sims Middle School Tigers suited up Thursday evening for a scrimmage with Gable Middle.

The Tigers moved the ball well on offense and although no score was kept, coach Mitchell Moss said he was pleased with both the offensive and defensive lines.

“I thought that on both sides of the ball our defense and offensive line did a great job of controlling the line of scrimmage,” he said. “Of course, there are some things we need to fix before next week’s games, and we will.”

By the time the Tigers meet back up with Gable on Wednesday, Moss expects the wrinkles to be ironed out.

“It should be exciting,” he said. “The coaching staff and myself look forward to a great year of Sims football.”
