Training to stop bullying

The staff of Buffalo Elementary School recently underwent OLWEUS Training to help stop bullying in Union County’s schools. The OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) is a research-based program that combats bullying. The OBPP committee is comprised of a cross section of school personnel, community members, and parents. Parents will learn about the program at the school’s kick-off event, which will be held on Sept. 25. Parents will also be invited to attend parent meetings throughout the school year. The staff at Buffalo Elementary is urging the community to get involved and “Be a Bully Buster.”
