Beginning Sept. 18, USC Union — in partnership with Union County Adult Education and Literacy — will provide an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) course at the USC Union Founders House each Tuesday and Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

The course will be taught by Libby Bishop — a longtime teacher of the Union County School District who recently became certified to teach English speaking, reading and writing skills to non-native persons who would benefit from improved English language abilities.

The target audience for the course is anyone from any country who may wish to improve their capability to speak, understand and read English.

The course will last approximately 26 consecutive weeks, and the only cost is a one-time fee of $10 to help offset course material costs. Through this partnership agreement, Union County Adult Education and Literacy will provide the certified instructor and USC Union will provide the classroom facility in the USC Union Founders House located at 122 N. Church Street in Union.

Class size will be limited to 10 students on a first-come first-served basis to allow for individualized attention and learning. For more information or to register contact USC Union Continuing Education at (864) 427-3681 ext. 7737 or 7742.
