Seth Horton (135) went 0-2, Tim Epps (160) and Ethan Campbell (189) each went 1-2.
“I was obviously disappointed in our performance at upperstate after the success that we experienced this year,” said WCS coach Jarrod King. “However, we are going to focus on our 13-8 record from the regular season — the best season in the four-year history of the team (the previous best season was four wins)."
King said he will learn a lesson from the team’s post-season performance.
“I plan to do my best to schedule more top 10 1A and 2A teams next season, in order to better prepare our guys for the competition they will face in the upperstate tournament,” he said.
