UNION — Dequan Tyrone “Quan” Jones, 17, 101 Gregory St., died Aug. 12, 2012.
A native of Union, he was the son of Rodney Tyrone “Duke” Jones of Spartanburg and Crystal Jetrell Scott of Union. He was a rising senior at Union County High School.
Survivors in addition to his parents include four brothers, Dabreon Scott of the home and Jordan Jones, Jayden Jones, and La’carsa Jones, all of Spartanburg; four sisters, Keonna Smith of the home and Naria Jones, Ryan Stewart, and Journey Jones, all of Spartanburg; his paternal grandfather, Roy Lee Jones of Spartanburg; his paternal grandmother, Gloria Jones of Union; his maternal grandparents, John and Cathy Lindsay of Union; and his maternal great-grandmother, Janie Lee Clowney of Union.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Union County High School Gymnatorium, 1163 Lakeside Drive, Union, SC. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, 123 Sardis Road, Union, SC.
The family will receive friends at the home and at the home of his maternal grandparents, 310 S. Church St., Union, SC
