The Union Public Safety Department is investigating the theft of $3,000 worth of computers from a local business.

A report said an employee at Rent-A-Center on 410 North Duncan By-Pass told Officer Scott Hood that she noticed Thursday that computers in the front window of the business were gone.

The employee said she contacted the service department and was told it did not have the computers.

Burglaries

Thursday, a victim on 123 Stevens Road, Buffalo, told Deputy Randy Manus that someone kicked in the back door of his home and took five firearms worth $1,562.

On 521 North Pinckney St., a victim told Cpl. Tommy Hart with public safety Wednesday that her JVCC 32-inch LCD HD TV is missing from the bedroom of her home. The woman said she lived with two other roommates, one who thought the TV might have been inadvertently picked up by a furniture company.

The TV is worth $999.
