SHELBY, NC — Jeanette Kelly Marsh, 77, of Shelby, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.
Mrs. Marsh was born in Central, South Carolina, on Sept. 20, 1934 to the late Austin Wilkes Kelly and Iola Kelly Kelly.
This beloved mom, grandmother, and friend courageously lived each day to the fullest despite recent health challenges. She was a former bank employee, Tupperware dealer and manager for years in Shelby, and volunteered with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jeanette loved cooking, traveling, shopping, and her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her baby sister, Hazel Kelly.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill Marsh; son, Lt. Col. (retired) Rusty Marsh and wife Gail of Clarkton;, and daughter Jane Marsh Ledbetter of Boiling Springs; one brother, Karl H. Kelly of Greer, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Kelly Marsh Mize, Billy Marsh, Allie Marsh, Justin Ledbetter, Jordan Ledbetter, and Jonathan Ledbetter; and her nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of her close friends, church family, doctors, and nurses for their love and support.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Kirby officiating. A private burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park on Monday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m.
