WHITMIRE — Lois Lucille Mobley Davidson, 90, 5333 Whitmire Highway, and widow of George Lafayette Davidson passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Union County and was a daughter of the late Jack Carlisle Mobley, Sr. and the late Eolene Lee Mobley.

Mrs. Davidson was a lifelong and active christian member of the Whitmire Presbyterian Church. She taught school and was a former principal in the Union County School System for over 30 years.

Surviving are one daughter, George Jeter; a grandson, Adam Mobley Jeter, Sr. and wife, Chery,l and great grandson, Adam, Jr., all of Whitmire; two special nieces, Virginia Dillard and husband, Michael of Whitmire and the Honorable Dorothy M. Jones of Columbia; several great-nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Carol Marse of Whitmire.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. in the Whitmire Cemetery by Rev. Sara Anne Berger.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
