Sis was asked by Rev. Glenn Ribelin to help out with a special prayer service at Fosters Chapel Church. He asked Sis to get the congregation together and all pray for rain, as the drought was hurting a lot of farmers. Sis asks the entire congregation to gather in the church yard at 3 p.m. that Sunday afternoon. As Sis was about to start prayer services, she looked the crowd over and said: “You faithful brothers and sisters have come this afternoon to pray for rain, but I don’t see an umbrella in the crowd!!”

Taking A Tumble
Our friend and neighbor, Mrs Jimmie Yount went to the mail box which is mounted on an antique plow, somehow, her shoe got tangled up in the hook on the plow and sent her sailing to the ground. Better get Cecil to fix that trap!!
A good program put on at Fosters Chapel UMC on Sunday. The Vacation Bible School and the teachers had a very good program, and the church was full. Our thanks to all that helped put that on, a very good job.
