Reid Walker
Athens Academy, a college preparatory school in Athens, GA, recently recognized Reid Walker (left), son of Mike and Martha Walker of Elberton, GA, as a Top Ten Academic Leader of the Freshman Class at recent Awards Day ceremonies at the school.
Walker, grandson of Col. and Mrs. William J. Whitener of Union, and the late George and Anne Walker of Fall Branch, TN and great-grandson of Mrs. Alta Walker of Greeneville, TN, also played football and baseball for the Spartans, was a percussionist in the school band, and wrote music reviews for the Athens Academy newspaper, the Spartan Review.
