An elderly resident of a Union nursing home is accused of pulling a knife on a worker.
Arthur Zacharia Henderson, 74, of Whitney Place on 107 Cornwell St. was charged Wednesday by the Union Public Safety Department with drawing in affray.
A report said a 47-year-old care-giver at the facility told Officer Mike Gregory that she entered Henderson’s room and smelled cigarette smoke. It is against the rules for a patient to smoke in his room.
The care-giver asked Henderson if he had been smoking and he denied it. The care-giver then saw a pack of cigarettes on the dresser. She put them in her pocket.
Henderson became angry, pulled a small knife out, cursed the care-giver and told her he would kill her.
The care-giver left the room and called 911.
When Gregory arrived, he asked Henderson if he had a knife. Henderson said no. Gregory did a frisk search of Henderson and found a small black and silver-colored knife in his right pants pocket,
Teen-ager arrested

According to an arrest warrant signed by School Resource Officer Terry Davis, Mobley disturbed school by threatening another student in a loud and boisterous manner, saying he would “blow his car up.”
Mobley was charged with trespassing after he went on Union Housing Authority property after having been given a written trespassing notice by Officer Eddie Williams.
