TIGERVILLE — Kelsey Wilson, a senior at Westgate Christian School, has been awarded the Crusader Fellows Scholarship by North Greenville University. She was chosen to receive the scholarship on the basis of her academic achievement, school, church, and community involvement.

Wilson, from Inman, interviewed and competed for the scholarship during Scholarship Interview Day at North Greenville University on Feb. 2, 2012. With satisfactory academic progress, this scholarship will guarantee the full cost of tuition, room and board for four years of attendance at North Greenville University. The Crusader Fellows Scholarship is awarded to students who are residents of South Carolina that qualify for the state’s Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. Wilson has been accepted into the NGU’s Class of 2016 and plans to enroll in August of this year.

Wilson is the daughter of Freddie and Carolyn Wilson. The Wilsons live in Inman but Mrs. Wilson is employed at Timken.
